If you’re looking to join a District 37 club, please check out our message board for more details.
VIEWFINDERS MC is an off-road motorcycle club based in Southern California. We are a sanctioned member of AMA District 37. Like many clubs that formed in the early days of desert racing 1968, we can trace our origins back to an informal group of friends from a specific industry, in our case, Hollywood stuntmen.
Our members reside throughout the Southern California area, from San Diego to San Luis Obispo, from L.A & Orange counties to the Inland Empire and High Desert. You will find our members at various AMA District 37 events including Desert, Grand Prix, Enduro and Dual Sport. Many members also compete in other racing events such as Best-In-The-Desert (BITD), SCORE (Baja races), WORCS, and various other motocross series around the region. Members range in age from unborn to mid-sixties, so you are always bound to find someone your age hanging around!
In conjunction with the City of Ridgecrest, we host the annual Viewfinder Grand Prix (a Big 6 event), typically the first weekend of October (see D-37 race schedule for exact dates). The race is held in the town of Ridgecrest, CA. This venue is a well-established location providing a welcoming atmosphere for racers and spectators.
Amenities include indoor sign up & scoring area, bleachers for spectating, ample car, truck, RV/trailer parking & hookups and a well-organized vendor row where you can pick up a few goodies and get rider’s autographs. In addition, the camping is proximity to the numerous hotels, restaurants & retail stores of Ridgecrest eliminates the need to “pack for the weekend”.
Along with the Grand Prix, we also participate in and donate to various charity events such as the Riders Helping Riders, Rescue 3 and Ride for Kids.
Viewfinders MC is a family oriented club with members who are dedicated to making this one of the best clubs in California. We welcome anyone to stop by for a chat or to obtain more information on the club. Look for the goldenrod (yellow) and black-checkered flags (or arrows). You are always welcome. We may even tell you what the black checkers on our flag represent!
